Delta-8, Delta-9...what’s the difference?
Along with CBD, CBG and Delta-9 THC is some of the most common cannabinoids known to cannabis scientists. Although Delta-9 is a household name amongst most cannabis professionals, it’s not as well known to the average consumer.
Basically, Delta-9 THC is the compound that creates the traditional psychoactive “high” feeling that we all know and love. It’s chemically akin relative, Delta-8 THC, is so similar that it’s said to produce the same effects at “regular” THC, just dialed down a bit.
It’s even said that Delta-8 THC can give you a sort of “high” feeling without the anxiety or nausea that THC can sometimes induce. In fact, Delta-8 THC has been prescribed specifically for nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy.
How Delta-8 affects the body and mind

Is it legal?
Yes! Because Delta-8 THC is so close to Delta-9 (I mean, they’re literally separated by a single number), many think it’s also a Schedule-I narcotic. It’s not, so long as it is hemp-derived. All hemp-derived cannabis products containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, is federally legal under 2018’s Farm Bill.
